Thats a good read dude. Been following this thread since you first started it and its really good to see that they're releasing this patch for yourself and others who'd benefit from it :)... As others have said too, you're very inspirational! Well done dude :).

It really is. You came across very modest - from the tone, they seem to have expected you to be a raging political superhero, single-handedly (excuse the pun :p) facing off against the cold corporations in your quest for equality for all, yes the simple frustration shown serves to highlight the main point I felt you've made since the start of this snowball - that it only takes a tiny change to make a huge difference in the right circumstances.

i have received some goodies yesterday and today from EA office in the UK and from Visceral in Redwood City. do u guys want me to take a picture of them?

If it's not too much trouble, that would be ace. Glad you got something and the patch, too. It might well be that you've contributed to having a potentially significant impact on the industry, if other developers take heed of this, mate. :)
 
Have been reading all 44 pages over the last week or so and think that you gareth are proper trooper.

My brother is deaf and finds it very frustrating when there are no subtitles in a game as it's nice to know whats going on some times, not quite the same level of frustration that you are having but still something that can't be that hard to implement.

Gald to see the developers are taking note and that they where nice enough to sort you out with some free booty :)
