***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

I do think that there might be some variance on the screens though - some people don't seem to have issues at all.

I've come from a 2 year old Nokia smartphone, so I can't really comment on how it compares to other current gen smartphones, but I've had no issue with the screen. Blacks are black, I can't see any problem with them at all, and viewing angles are fine, I don't see any significant change in quality until it's been tilted quite a bit.

I got a cheap slip case from the bay that arrived yesterday, and it's surprisingly nice for ~£2 (and it came with a stylus, which I haven't even tried using yet, I've no real desire to) and should do til the Nillkin gets here.

My only issues with this phone are that I've never used Android before and it's taking time for me to figure out how to do everything with it. I'm up to speed now on basic running of the phone, but I haven't yet discovered how to do a lot of the cool stuff like the vastly different home screen themes etc. Loving it so far though! :D

Hey I had sent google an email regarding my order status and this is how they replied:
(btw i ordered on the 4th at 5:17 PM while it said 1-2 weeks)

Orders are shipped based on the estimate in your order confirmation email.

email with your tracking number. It may take 24 hours for the package
tracking to return any information for your tracking number.

If you have not received a package tracking number after the time quoted in
your order confirmation email, please let us know.

According to our records, your order should ship by the evening of December

Neuxs 4 backorders: Please note that the above date is based on typical

Did someone say the Galaxy Nexus Sena case fits the N4? I have just tried one and it doesn't really fit, I could probably force it on and leave it to stretch a bit though?

Any chance of pics with the bumper on/off to see how it fits and the overall size - disappointed it makes the phone a lot bigger :(

I used my S3 for comparison.

And here is what I dislike most, the protruding housing around the charging port.

Here's what I'll be using instead

I mailed to ask if they could just check my order was okay, as I was concerned the money hadn't been ring fenced like it had for other people. Sadly I just got the same copy and paste mail everyone else got.

I'm not going to worry to much but it is a shame they couldn't just check this for me.

Has anyone found the vibration for keyboards and the soft key press to be very minimal?

Also I'm really getting annoyed by the TN panel I have on my nexus. If i move my head slightly up or down, colours stay inverting.

Anyone know where I can get the Black Nillkin Premium Matte Hard case from in the UK? Don't fancy having to wait 3 weeks for it to turn up.

with nilkin it has always been the case of waiting for it to be delivered to uk from korea/china :) don't think anyone will stock them tbh

IMO it's the worst screen I've used vs. One X and SGS3. The viewing angles are what hacks me off and they are pretty awful compared to any other decent smartphones. It really bugs me, I think LG totally dropped the ball there.

I do think that there might be some variance on the screens though - some people don't seem to have issues at all.

I think there are variances in screen and also variances in people's perceptions imo.

I'm getting another N4 so I'll be able to compare the 2.

I've yet to see the One X other than in a shop. That is supposed to be a Godly LCD screen.

I see the viewing angle debate still rages on, so I took these:]

Lulz. I'll post some when I get a chance.

It's less noticeable in bright light where stuff like reflections get in the way - take it in a more ambient room and it will stick out like a sore thumb.

Yeah I'm perfectly content with screen on my N4 but it doesn't have the 'wow' of the One X.

Actually it wasn't a particularly bright room, and I was careful to avoid reflection reflections as best I could. I'll take a couple more late afternoon though.
