[Project Black hole] - CaseLabs TH10A

Regarding the fans on the rads with filters. You really need to make sure the fans have got some decent pressure. You'll soon find out when you get testing.

Yeah I only bought the filters to try out, never used any before so thought I would give them a try.

Hope you can sort out the vibrations pal do you know what exactly is causing it?

The vibrations I was talking about are with the XSPC D5 bay res I have in another PC, nothing to do with this build.

Crumbs,

I just bought this bay res... so far it's quiet as the grave, I might just drill out the mounting holes and use some stronger mounting bolts to hold it in place.

other than that, on the low restriction (single block, 360 Rad) the flow is something phenomenal, even on 3 or 4.

Filter, Fan and Rad Mounting

I decided to mount the filters, the top ones are atcually mounted on the underside of the top cover rather than over the fans, so should be a little less restrictive but could cause the top fans to just draw in air from the sides where there is less resistance.
I will monitor that and may change them when up and running.

Starting to look like a build :D plenty of space for drain valves on the extra rad ports which will be nice!

Pleased with my hand made fan harnesses, perfect cable length to plug them in with minimal cable on show.

Also bought the PSU as I needed to get it in so I can get custom cables made up and ready before I get all my other hardware.
It was between this and the EVGA 1600 and the Corsair won mainly because of the lower dB output at load but I think in most reviews it just edges it on other points.

Thanks for the comments and look forward to seeing your build, it was me that recommended the case to you in that other thread ;)

Looking great JP. I mounted my filters internally no issues to be honest and looks much better than external.

Only issue I have with case labs is they get very dusty due to all the tiny gaps etc. could be a static flow issue for me though

Thanks, I hope if I use the filters that with enough positive pressure dust will be forced out of the case and only clean air will come in through the filters. Only time will tell!

looking great so far mate!

Cheers!

Nice build. Does anyone know how to set up aquero 6 pro to turn on pc via infra red?

Thank you!
If you want to do that you need to wire the relay, so buy a plug from here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-126-AQ
Then wire pins 1 and 3 across your case power switch, the motherboard front panel header or both.

You can then have the Aquaero emergency shut down the PC also if you have Windows set to shut down when the power button is pressed.
Although you may be able to do that through the software also, not had a chance to test any of that out yet :)

This image should help:

Looking good so far mate! Just wondering, Now X99 is officaly released ( And in my system, Absoloutley bloody amazing FYI) What Processor/Ram/Mobo combo are you gunna install?

Thanks, plan is 5960X, Asus X99-E WS and not sure on ram yet.

The motherboard isn't really available yet anyway and I am waiting for the new nvidia cards also plus I will need waterblocks for them. Not in a massive rush or anything though as I am away for four weeks at the end of the month.

I like Asus motherboards and until they give me any major issues I will keep using them.
To me the WS is their top end board, has all the features I want for running 3+ cards and an M.2 without running out of lanes, doesn't come with all the unnecessary extras that I don't need like OC Panel, Wifi, whatever other gimmicky bits the other boards have but still has all the useful software that they come with plus it isn't red and black or black and white!

The only thing is I think there could be some issues with the WS right now as it seems to be delayed, I guess Asus worked more on getting the more mainstream boards ready first which is fair enough.

Exactly the reason why I regret buying my Z87 Classy - it is a great motherboard, but just to much features I don't need and never used.
No point in paying extra for something you don't use, right?
Main reason I went for MSI x99s plus this time - entry level board and also one of best looking x99 motherboards. I checked reviews, they were great.
So I can understand your choice.
I hope WS gets released soon and without any issues too :-)

ah ok fair enough.
the only reason I went for the deluxe is because I'm planning a white build and it seems like the obvious choice. I'm not an experienced overclocker by any means so I'm definitely not going to use it to its full potential
