300 ? So AMD are making their last stand at the hot GPU gates ?
Get it ?
Makes it sound as if Nvidia are an evil empire that just want to enslave everyone though

I wouldn't worry about heat and noise bud, as long as you have decent airflow it'll be fine, custom fan profile on AB and mine never break 50c.

Yup, seems the odd drip of stock shows up and its more often than not one with a gimped pump. I could go and order 2 from caseking now but i'd do my nut if i got them and they had the pump issue. Since some of these cards have literally just showed up for the first time there, (powercolor and vtx) you'd think that they would be the revised units. But its not something i want to put to the test.
Funny when you think about it, amd badly need sales, theres cards to be had but people are reluctant to buy them because of dodgy ones still doing the rounds. You'd think the the obvious thing to do would to be recall affected stock, get the pumps sorted and get them back out but nope.
People being put off by this whine should also remember a lot of GPUs from both amd and nvidia has been fighting this for sometime now..
You could very well skip the furyx and buy a G1 only to be in the same situation. It seems in this day and age coil whine is everywhere and until a 100% fix is out we all going to be gambling. So far in all my years building my own systems I been lucky enough to not have to put up with coil whine.
Will we ever see a 100% fix?
I think the point is that Fury X pump noise is a lot more high frequency and pervasive than your average coil whine and it happens even at idle. Nice try though.
This Was us One of our Technicians found a way to give Voltage control on the Card.
The first and most asked question is going to be........
HOW
its not straight forward and requires probing the i2c bus there are bugs and it is nowhere near 100% stable so i would rather not reveal how iv accomplished it yet until its 100%. dont want people to pop their brand new cards
What I'm more interested in, is when are new cards going to be in stock. Any more updates after the management meeting yesterday?

Matt wouldn't admit too it if he did.I am quite surprised that Matt got 4 and he hasn't got any noise on any of them. Mine is silent as well.... Very strange indeed.
Yeah im reluctant to try and grab a one thats in stock now/comes in now, as i figure if i wait for my pre-order one, end of the month, theres a better chance its not a whiner, what with the time its taking, could be that long due to them now revising them, little part of me still thinks it could be a whiner though, and that'll be an absolute ****** if so, waiting the time i have.
Yeah doubt it would go down well with the bosses, well my 4x turned up, and they are all whining like absolute ****, unbearable noise, well ****** off, i am too returning em for Ti's.
Can confirm that he didn't get any ones with whine issues. As has previously been stated, only a small batch of cards had this issue. Since then a fix has been implemented.
RIP Whinegate

I'm doubting it was that small, plenty of people on youtube with vids of the issue, reviewers as well. I had a gigabyte and a sapphire both had it, another user on here went through 4 cards and they all had it.
