After many years of living in apartments, mrsyoustolemyname and I got our first house last October. It has a rather nice garden even if I do say so myself and with the first rays of sunshine appearing today I am in BBQ frenzy mode!

Ultimately I want a Weber Smokey Mountain but since I want to BBQ like RIGHT NOW! I am off to grab something cheap and cheerful that will allow me to cook over charcoal. Weather Forecast is ok...ish

So, any suggestions for a high street BBQ bargain? This one is leading the chase at the minute: http://www.diy.com/nav/garden/outdo...ongley-Rectangular-Charcoal-Barbecue-12718622

What does everyone else cook on? Any experienced pitmasters want to share tips? I thought this thread would make a good resource for all things BBQ :D

Definitely plan to break out my Smokey Mountain this season. Not really used it since buying it. Sadly I am not an experienced pitmaster :\

Gonna grab a Smokey Joe this year and see how I get on with it.

Decided something like a Weber One Touch would be overkill for just me and the missus, probably even if we've got guests. Figure a smaller grill will need less charcoal so I will be able to use it more without worrying about the waste.

Also gonna give this mod a shot I think:

After years of buying the £30-£50 argos/asda/tesco BBQ's, I cannot stress enough the difference in moving to a weber. It was a wedding present that has lasted 4 years now, and is still going strong.

I am incredibly motivated to try and get a Performer Deluxe, just have to convince the wife ;)

This is how we BBQ :D

Raining, raining tomorrow.
However if you live in London meant to be sunny tomorrow and 18degress, lucky sods.

I need some charcoal.

Yeah that landmann one is cracking value. Posted it the other year. So much cheaper compared to anything else similar. I doubt it's the best build quality, but who cares.

Just ordered £70 of amazon vouchers, use up my hotel points. Still not sure if I can afford it, May is an extremely costly month.
Mates stag/wedding, a Holliday, also three of our birthdays +2 family birthdays.
