Anyone going to i28 this year?

I'm going to the 1000man i28 lanparty in August for the first time to an i-series event. Gonna be MINT I'm going with a mate I've known on the internet for years and literally chat to him daily on ventrilo so that'll be cool to meet him as well, just generally really looking forward to it. Friday/Saturday/Sunday three days of gaming, I'm gonna go buy a mahoosive tent tomoz so I can camp in the car park although I'll probably only get a few hours sleep in the whole weekend.

I've been wanting to go for the past couple year but finally I can cause I've got a car.

I'd be happy to meet up with anyone off these forums who's going, I'll be seated in the CS area.

I am going all payed up, you want a cheap tent try Tesco's paid about £6 for mine.

Yea it'll be a reet good weekend. I'll just play cs on local servers and if anyone talks **** I can go and give them a slap lol. I've heard the Newbury racecourse staff are well tight and don't let you drink alcohol unless it's bought from their ridiculously overpriced bar, not even in the car park? So I'll get a few crates from the local supermarket and stuff em in the tent

I shall be resuming my normal spot on the yellow team, so you may see me on the helpdesk etc. (Yes I'm flying to the UK to staff a lan party, no I'm not mad

)

I also really really want to go to Dreamhack Winter 06. Loads of guys from the MPUK community went to the summer one but I missed out, but it sounds fantastic.

Your gonna be staff? Think you could sort me an extra socket for a laptop for free m8? I wanna take my laptop as well as my desktop so I can use it to host a few servers.

Lol, no

get the laptop service from the site, but bear in mind a laptop connection may only be 10mbit, it's not really designed for running gameservers it's really to give you irc / msn / web / intranet access at the event. You'd be better off with the colocation service for servers.

EDIT: Didn't realise that was you who first replied to my thread. What else is there to do in Newbury, any good bars, bowling etc? We're about the same age maybe we can go for a drink.

Do people just tend to sit in the race track all day? Cause although I love my gaming hours after hours I'd get bored. I'll probably bring a football or something and try and organize a match.

well there always doing something its not just gaming, there is other stuff going on, last time they were doing demonstrations of an actual SAS practice.
