Audi owners in here!

Hey guys, I plan on changing car in the next couple months and have been leaning towards getting an A4.

Preferably an A4 (B7) S Line (2.0 or 3.0 TDI - whichever I come across at the right price) and I would really like a quattro.

Budget will be around £5000, and I have already found quite a few matching that criteria with about 100K to 150K on the clock (although that isn't much for these engines).

What are your thoughts on this? I'm coming from a VW Bora (2005) 1.9 TDI Highline.

Some example ones I've found so far:

I'm not really bothered if it is an Auto (with paddles?) or a Manual.

Thanks

Any reason for the change?
I'd honestly just run the Bora into the ground. 'Upgrading' to an Audi diesel will be a world of pain IMHO. Better the devil you know, etc.

Going from a VW diesel to a same age high mileage Audi diesel for £5K? Are you serious?

Aye, the Bora is renowned for getting rust on the corners of doors etc, so I want to get rid of it sooner rather than later, otherwise it will cost me a lot to get done.

My Bora is only the 100bhp model so it will be more of an upgrade for me than it may appear.

So long as you're sure and you keep a back a load of money for repairs and maintenance.

Any reason it has to be diesel? I would much prefer the 1.8T 190 Quattro Sport or 2.0 in fact. It'd be cheaper if it goes wrong and you can still get goo MPG.

What's your annual mileage?

To be honest, I'd much rather have a PD TDI 130bhp than the 140bhp replacement.
Maybe upgrade to Passat 130?

Hi Audi owners!

Today I have ordered my first Audi, it will be a while before I get it and I will update when I have more details but this is the spec:

Audi R8 V10 Coupe
6 Speed Manual
Brilliant Red with Carbon Sideblade
Extended Fine Nappa leather Interior in Black with Red Stitching
Alcantara headlining
Audi Parking System Plus with reversing camera
Cruise control
Black styling package
Carbon sigma door mirror -electrically adjustable and heated
Carbon sigma engine bay trim
Contoured 3-spoke perforated leather Sports flat-bottomed - Exclusive Red Stitching
Audi exclusive black floor mats with R8 logo and Red Piping

For those that think I should have gone with the V10 Plus, I had it for the day and while it is a very nice car I didn't go for it because the stiff suspension is very similar to the GTR, I didn't get on with the Ceramic brakes and I really didn't like all the interior carbon and RS seats.

I wasn't getting the most out of the GTR with the roads I drive on so didn't really want a "track focus" car that the Plus is.

Magnetic ride, steel brakes and comfy sports seats will do me just fine!

I still have a day before the spec is 100% finalised with quattro GmbH so if anyone thinks I have missed anything glaringly obvious let me know.
I don't think I have an am very happy!

Thanks!

Well, strictly speaking it isn't my Audi, it's my dad's but thought I'd post anyway - bought in about August last year, it's an A8 3.0L TDI, pretty nice compared to the **** I'm used to going in :D
I'll post pics when I take some

The latest is the new R8. Just a facelift really, and honestly most of it's fans and owners are happy it has not changed too much.

I am hoping to travel to Bristol area to buy a car on Saturday. It is an A3 1.8TFSI, 47 hp down on the 2.0t fsi however this hasn't even done 30,000 miles. No arm rest or cruise control but both can be fitted. Cow interior and heated seats too :D

nice :) think you'll live with the drop in hp?....or is a map first on the cards ;) might be around brizzle myself on sat to look at a b7 a4 I've spied :D ....that's if I'm not being lazy/hungover :p

I can't find a 2.0t with such low mileage. According to audi-sport forums the 1.8tfsi remaps to around 220hp anyway, and doesn't have the High flow fuel pump "issues" that the 2.0t has.

160hp will be fine for now, I have had my 140tdi for a another year since so 20hp up on that (but around 100lb/ft down).
