Hello,

Can some please advice me on O/C an E2180. I hve the following components:

E2180
IP35
4GB Geil Ram

Undere the BIOS I have got a stable 2.8 MHz with the following settings:

CPU Operating Speed
External Clock 280 MHz
Multiplier Factor 10 x
Estimated Clock Speed
DRAM Speed (CPU:DRAM) 1:1.25 (DDR2-700)
PCI Express Frequency 100 MHz

Voltages
CPU Core Voltage 1.3850v
DDR Voltage 2.10v
CPU VTT Voltage 1.2000v
ICH 1.50v Voltage 1.50v
MCH 1.25v Voltage 1.290v
CPU GTLREF 63.0%

However, if I attempt any higher I the BSOD! I have actually booted at 3.4MHz (although it only ran Orthas stable for 15 seconds), with a couple of tweaks to the voltages. All attempts I’ve tried at 3GHz & 3.2GHz have not booted? Could anyone please advice me on the setting above or have a just got a not very O/C processor?

I’d be happy with 3 GHz as I bought the processor as a stopgap.

Cheers

have you tryed with just 2 sticks of ram, i have that exact config but with 2 sticks and am at 3.5GHz at the moment 10 hours orthos stable, had it stable for 3 hours orthos at 3.6

also try upping the vtt voltage to 1.225 (i think thats the value there are only 2 options)

my values are
cpu volts - 1.38
ddr volts - 2.1
vtt - 1.225
ich 1.5 - 1.5
mch 1.25 - 1.25

350x10 FSB
5:6 FSB-RAM - 840
