Stacked the car this morning (pics)

At the sliproad joining the M62 at Jct 31.

Not sure how, I slid across a lane, the rear of the car came out so i steered into it, but not enough it seems, the back wheels went onto the grass and I flipped up and went into the trees.The car came to a rest on its side, with the passenger side on the floor.

There are some traffic lights just before the slip road which I had stopped at, so I cant have been going fast, I just seemed to slide straight across.

Was trapped in the car, but a guy stopped and helped me out. Out of about 30 people that drove by, 2 stopped, which is a sad state of affairs i think. There were even people directly behind that saw it happen, but still carried on driving.

So thats 2 years no claims and one corsa gone, but Im fine, will be a tad stiff in the morning I expect!

Ouch that looks quite nasty! At least it's another corsa off the road

Aren't you meant to boot it in a front wheel drive if the back end goes nuts?

I think if you boot it the front pulls the back back into line, so it sounds right.

Good job you are ok and no lasting damage, at least the car can be replaced.

No idea, I didnt seem to have any traction at all with any of the wheels.

A fire engine, 2 traffic cars, an ambulance and a highways agency van were all on scene within about 10 mins which I thought was impressive

I know, the car must have thought it was 4wd all of a sudden!

But yea I've had the back end go nuts before. Booting it seemed to get me out a few sticky situations

I wouldn't want to drive that again.

I would guess yes. If it isn't, get it fixed and sell.
