Hi all,

couldn't see another thread on this so forgive me if I missed it.

Apple event for next Tuesday, the 9th

Looks like that Apple event for the Tuesday, the 9th of this month is on. We know it'll be new iPods (they always do iPods for the fall / holidays), but hopefully they'll have a little something special for us. Whatever, just as long as it's not that round, awful looking nano.

Anything confirmed?, any rumours? wonder what they'll bring to the iPod ring this time

What about the iphone? like news of the upcoming update, a release date maybe?

i would hope for new macbooks, now i have a iphone and a ipod i want a mac to switch for good.

Read on the apple release that new macbooks/MBP/MBA wont feature as part of sept 9th event, they will be announced later (looking like October)

I hope its a new macbook, I really want to venture into the mac world - I love my iphone and love playing around with macs also. It would be my machine for everything but gaming

Im playing around with a hackintosh at the moment and its really sexy

I dropped my 2G iPhone twice and put a little dint in it!

I reckon this will be just new iPods and a spec bump of a few computers/laptops. Although Apple did say it was something big...

Won't be macbooks,

They are usually october and May/June upgrades every 6months.

Should be Ipods and prob sort Apple TV to actually be usefull

I'm hoping they will announce a monitorless mid-range desktop mac. Something to fill the gap between the too weedy Mini and OTT (for home use IMO) MacPro. But i'm not holding my breath to be honest ... :rolleyes:

Would like to see new gfx updates for the mac pro then i might finally take the plunge. I am certain there will be new macbook updates sometime this year. There have been lots of rumours for months now so I'm guessing that come october they will be here.

They could possibly announce the new macbooks - I know for a fact they are bringing out a magnesium alloy/ aluminium macbook soon. This could be the announcement for them.

Wont announce new macbooks this time around. Mainly because they're running the education deals with iPods to get rid of stock. I think it will be new iPods and iPhone OS 2.1, with iTunes 8.

New macbooks to come before christmas or (even better for me) after macworld.
