Hello

As you will see i am very new to overclocking, i have an Intel i7 920 on a Asus P6T Deluxe V2 mobo. I have ordered a "special cooler" for it and am going to overclock it.

My target is 4.2GHz (from 2.66GHz )...

I have done a little research and this is what i am thinking of doing:

BClock: 210

CPU Multi: 20
QPI Multi: 24
UnCore Multi: 20
Mem Multi: 10

CPU Clock: 4200MHz
QPI CLock: 5040MHz
UnCore Clock: 4200Mhz
Mem Clock: 2100

If you can see any major flaws in this plan please let me know.

Thanks in advance

Jarred ;)

The special cooler i was talking about: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-011-ZA&groupid=701&catid=193&subcat=1039

Here my old template for a UD5 the asus should be sorta the same

cpu ratio - 20x
bclk - 200
DRAM - DDR3-1600MHz 1.64
Turbo Mode - Disabled
CPU Voltage - 1.3v in bios
QPI/DRAM Voltage - 1.3v
Mem multi - 8
QPI Link - x36
IOH - Auto
Load Line Calibration - Enabled

Use at your own risk but these a safe settings and you may be able to lower them as there at the high end but they worked for me when 1st was learning, anything not above best left on auto i would think untill your used to your board. Hope it helps

thats a pretty safe starting point, can then tweak the voltages down.

the reserator looks like a sexy bit of kit but for that amount could go custom for better results tbh
