Help Needed

Hello all,

I've had my new pc for around a week and half, everything has been fine been playing a lot of games BFBC2 etc all fine.

Today I thought I’d have a go on BFBC2 was playing it for around 1-2 hours and everything was fine until my pc crashed(locked up) randomly while playing. The sound of gun fire was looping blearing into my headphones. I had to hold the power button to shut down the pc as nothing was responding (numlock , windows key etc) I've checked in event viewer and haven’t found no warnings / errors only error I found was due to me shutting down the pc by the power button, I've also checked my temps and all seem fine atm.

CPU idle: 34c
GPU idle: 28c

Which they are always this temp at idle, I'm trying to find out what caused this problem but with no success yet I’m hoping someone may be able to help me.

Here are my system specs in case you need them

Radon Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle with Corsair H50
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 460 OC 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card @ stock
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Certified Modular Power Supply
OS: Windows 7 x64

If you need any more information please let me know,

Thank you.

Is there any application that keeps logs of temp's in a note-pad or somthing, So i can leave that logging temps while running BFBC2 incase it does crash again i can then view the temp logs.

At the moment i'm using Real Temp but i dont think that has a logging feature.

System didnt crash while playing BFBC2 yesterday so i thought it was just a once random crash, Until just a minute ago i was watching itv player on firefox and system crashed / locked up again numlock etc wasnt responding and sound was looping into my headset again. I have no idea what is causing these 2 random crash's havnt found anything in eventviewer etc.

Maybe it could be becouse im running a desk microphone via my soundcard and headphone sound jack in my front panel onboard sound? I shouldnt think this would cause it since i've been running it like this since i've the system(1week and half) but thought i'd state this just incase. Computer has been fine since i got it, until yesterday's crash and now today's :(

Hopfully someone can help me solve this issue.

I will try move my headphone sound jack to my sound card and disable my on-board sound and see if i get another crash. Maybe both the on-board sound and my sound card are conflicting causing the system crash. I will try this hopfully this will solve the system crash

Yep random lockup/crash again.

Again this time was playing BFBC2, I've disabled on-board sound and running my mic/headphones in my soundcard now. So it isnt my soundcard and on-board sound conflicting. I have no clue what's causing this :(

Any help anyone? :(
