The Grauniad has been offering a different John le Carré audiobook free each day for the past week. They are only available for a week from the day that the newspaper is printed, so last Saturday's download may no longer be available and Sunday's download will expire at midnight on Saturday evening. They are in MP3 format rather than the usual and tiresome Audible format.

Thanks for sharing this, should be good. First one downloading now.
Do we know if there's any DRM on them that they need listening to or anything within this timeframe?

I just 'bought' Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy two days ago using an Audible credit!

/edit - If these have no DRM then I'd imagine there's no problem sharing - Anyone care to host rather than have to faff about creating an account that I'll never use?

Seems to have let me use all the codes today. Downloading them all now. Were these offers from last week?

Just because they're DRM free, doesn't mean they're released under a free license such as Creative Commons and free to share. :)

Yeah I think these will be pretty well covered under copyright law so no I don't think hosting them would be appropriate. ROFL at Don encouraging warez ;)

It might be. How can you find out?

In fairness though, it probably isn't.

He said IF they have no DRM. You don't really know either.

Whether they have DRM or not is completely irrelevant... These are offer codes that are used to get a reduction in price. If these books are for sale they aren't free to distribute
