Homeplugs - electrical whine?

Nope, probably faulty. Don't ignore it, get it sorted as another retailer left me in the cold just because a year had past yet the thing had clearly overheated itself to death.

Sounds like completely normal electrical whine to me.

Happens because its not passing the electricity through to any other devices..

Capacitors are full and having to discharge the 240V being plumbed into them from the socket.

I don't think this is normal, TVs, DVD players, Xboxs etc don't do this, nor do two of my powerline adapters.

I know some devices do make noises but this is a very loud and can be heard across the room.
