It gets a bit confusing in the regular S3 thread, so I figure our own for the LTE version (I9305) might be a good idea.

So, what ROM is everyone using? I've just put Pandoriam back on, with Perseus 29.1 and flashed XXALK3 Radio ROM, although I've had battery drain and signal issues, since installing these. This could be because I've been at my mums, out in the sticks.

Good move Andy, it was getting a little confusing discussing ROMS and other things on the I9300 thread.

I've gone back to the stock ROM from Pandoriam as I'm waiting for the official 4.1.2 ROM to be released by Samsung.

Five countries / carriers got 4.1.2 today so it shouldn't be long until EE releases theirs.

I will try out Pandoriam v5.5 only after I've had a good go on the official ROM.

Nice one Mate! Thanks for the link! Is it a simple case of downloading and flashing via the usual method?

I just downloaded the German DBT ROM but was in two minds of installing it because I'm not sure if it carries any German specific apps.

I'm running pandoriam V4.5 with Jkay and JB Dom V1.5 , lovely so far :)

I've heard very good things about JKay, I will look into installing it at some point.

Just flashed the German 4.1.2 ROM and I pleased to report that its unbranded!

Nova Launcher is abit choppy though when scrolling through the home screens.

Stoosh - I didn't get round to flashing Pandorium as I was ill and it got worse last night. I'm still feeling horrible so won't be flashing tonight either.

Did you do this: Backup and Restore IMEI / NV Data Procedure for GT-I9305?

Is it worth doing?

I hope you get better Mate, you've got some strength to visit and post on OCUK! It's good to see you on here! :p

No I didn't bother with the procedure above, I just flashed a few ROMS then unrooted and returned to stock. The phone seems fine so I must've been doing something right. :)

It's all down to you Mate if you want to follow it, its better to be safe than sorry.

If you've not installed Pandoriam yet, might as well wait as he's rebuilding it from the base up on the new 4.1.2

I've been having HUGE battery drain on Pandoriam 5. Will investigate tomorrow but it looks like it might be media scanner. Recommendations are to copy valuable files off SD, format and put back.

The next version of Pandoriam is going to be awesome now that he's building it from the new ROM.

A few other users are reporting battery drain on Pandoriam 5 on XDA, why do you think media scanner might be the culprit? Is it scanning for stuff on the card all the time?

I was getting carp life from my S3 with Media scanner eating the battery. The SD card I was using had been in my S2 and still had "random" stuff on it. I took it out, deleted all the stuff I didn't need / want and the Media Scanner stopped :D

That's an excellent tip :)

I'll clear out my SD card over the weekend because today my phone only lasted 12 hours with moderate use and it usually will last 19!

Exactly, mine was on track to only last about 8 when I usually get 16-20.

MediaScannerService was the top Partial Wakelock. A bit of Googling brought up quite a few people commenting this has become the case since 4.1.1/2 updates.

Feel better now I went to A&E last night - after a long wait of blood tests and an X-Ray it turns out I have pneumonia. Now I'm on the right meds I should recover soon.

Yeh looks complicated too - I can't be bothered :D

I will flash Pandoriam sometime soon - will let you guys know how I find it when I do. :)
