2160p@60hz display port cable

I've been doing quite a bit of research on displayport cables, it seems there are very few which are compliant. The reason they don't comply is because they link pin 20 at each end. This is a power line designed to power any adaptors you have plugged in, the cable itself should not link this line since both a monitor and gfx card have power on this pin (adaptors could be at the monitor end and/or PC end).
Non-compliance may not cause any problems for some people, others (like myself) have experienced issues with it causing "displayport link failure" errors. The problem seems to affect AMD cards more than Nvidia.
There's one cable which I can actually find to buy, it's model number is HQSC-050-3.0
Note that it says it's a 19 pin cable (displayport is 20 pin), it doesn't connect pin 20 and people have confirmed this.

Here's some links to the problem:

3 Meters. I don't think that length will work at all even if you buy the best cable in the world which is Lindy Cromo like what I've got but I went for 2 meters. You could try it I guess but it's really close to spec 4k/60. You basically have to buy the Lindy Cromo from Lindy for about £25 but yeah out of the 7 different displayport plain cables I have it's the only one that doesn't ever flicker at 4k although some others only flicker some of the time. Tested on 2 different gpus and both a 4k tv and a 4k monitor to make sure my individual experience wasn't down to my specific hardware for you.

do u recommend "2m Lindy CROMO Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cable" even for 1440p@144Hz ?

I'm using 295X2 and BenQ XL2730Z and I'm experiencing a problem with "black-screening"..

This "Doesn't work with 4k resolution" according to the one Amazon review... Which leads me to believe it's DP1.1, and thus won't work with 3440x1440?

This problem's really annoying, and I still can't find a 19 pin, DP1.2 cable.

He seems to say it's working in another post though.

Also, isn't it possible to cut the 20th on the connectors so that it's unable to transmit anything?

I was led to believe that no manufacturers still had the pin-20 problem. I tested the various DP cables I have, and none of them connect pin-20. Of those, the only ones that I know the brand of are StarTech, and they work fine at 2160p@60Hz, including a 3m one.

Theoretically, but the small size of the pins mean you would need to be improbably dextrous.

Have you ever repaired bent LGA socket pins? How would it compare to that?
