Those with no match I was going to give 1 point for, but I thought it more fair to give 2 points. 1 for a valid entry and 1 point for being the opposite end of the scale in the reverse round.

Will update the leaderboard before next week.

Also, anyone bickering or asking for more points will be docked by the time I update the leaderboard. How many they will be docked I leave up to fate...

Quite glad I managed to pick up a discounted damaged can so I didn't have to waste money.

I'll drink most normal lagers but Carling is really rather foul.

Heh - good round chaps - surprised to see so many missed entries though.

I drew a short list of John Smiths, Carlsberg and Carling, and decided on John Smiths as all the cans of Carling and Carlsberg didn't say brewed in the UK - instead they stated brewed in the EU so didn't want to take a chance.

Isn't Carling Canadian?

I couldn't bring myself to buy any crap lager so went with what I thought was the most posted UK beer of the comp so far :)

Thanks for taking over and doing a good job, Gilly!

Thanks for taking on the mantle, Gilly.

I considered Carling as well but for some reason I thought it was a foreign beer. Plus, it's lager which is a damn good reason for not getting it.

I had to buy four cans of John Smiths because I couldn't get just one. I managed less than half of it, Mrs. Feek drank the rest and YMF had the other three cans. It was dreadful!

I couldn't buy Carling here. It was either John Smith's or my second choice Newcastle Brown Ale (which I know is the bigger seller worldwide, just didn't think it was that popular in UK).

I actually never knew Carling was so popular!

Sorry to be a pain on your first week Gilly :) but just thinking maybe the scoring is slightly wrong?

5 points for most popular, 4 points for second most popular, 3 points then for 3rd most popular. Surely all the entries that were single are technically the 3rd most popular (all 1 entry each) and therefore would be 3 points. (4 points really as Carling isn't English)

If say HobGoblin and Bombardier got 2 entries each, both (all 4 entries) would be 3 pointers. Therefore same for the 10 single entries.
