Hi, I’m looking to lay outdoor porcelain tiles (1200 x 600, 20mm thick) and have had differing opinions on how to do it. Several builders and a tiler have told me it must be on a concrete base however others have said that, unless tiles will be bearing a heavy load (vehicles driven over them)...

Need some advice. A local builder I have asked to quote for a log cabin base size 5.5x4m His points. Needs a concrete pump from just outside rear access as doesn't want to borrow in that much (fair enough) Didn't mention using any hardcore stating will just dig out and see what's there but...
