Hey guys I've recently decided about buying a new pc after having a lot of fps issues with some new games that have been released.

I pretty much need to buy everything bar monitor and OS. Any help is greatly appreciated, cheers.

This was linked in a different thread a few days back, it seems like a good starting point for me. As far as I can see all I would need is a hard drive? Then I have around £200 extra to spend on a few tweaks.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE FARCRY3, Hitman Absolution, Sleeping Dogs & 20% off MOH Warfighter PC Games £349.99
1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £184.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £129.98
1 x Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750M High Performance 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply (CP-9020040-UK) £89.99
1 x NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi Tower Case - Black £79.99
1 x Samsung 120GB SSD 840 SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TD120BW) £77.99
1 x Xigmatek Dark Knight SD-1283 Night Hawk Edition CPU Cooler (Socket LGA 2011/1366/1156/1155/775 and AMD FM1/AM3/AM2+/AM2) £34.99
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £29.99
Total : £992.92 (includes shipping : £12.50).

edit: Wouldn't I be getting less for my money by going for the bundles? Is there any upside to it over getting the parts?
cheers

If you buy an oc bundle you are just basically paying ocuk to do the overclocking for you. It would be better putting the money towards parts and oc yourself imo.

should handle all that then.

ask someone who has that case about the size for the gpu

i have an antec 300 mid size atx case and a 7950 with two fans on it and it only just fits.

Do you think it'll handle them with full gfx?

I'll ask around about the case, cheers.

Might be a better choice idd, where do you think I can better place that £80 (£280 under budget total)?

Depends if you need anything else ? i.e mouse, keyboard, speakers etc. Otherwise the above build with the 7950 looks good to me. The nzxt case has a removeable hard drive cage if you need more room for a longer gpu, although it wouldnt hurt to ask in the 'cases' section.

I have everything like that, was just talking about any upgrades to the parts I posted before.

And yeah, I'm going to ask tomorrow morning about the case size/gpu issue.
Thank you both for your help.

Oh yeah, I left out the HDD, thanks, that could of been embarrassing!

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 32MB Cache - OEM
chosen this HDD, seems like the best option for me.

Don't you think a second 7950 might be a bit overkill? My only goal with buying this new pc was to be able to play the "higher spec" games without fps issues.

A bigger SSD might be an option though, I'll look into it.

If you can afford it look into a 256gb SSD to put more games on etc, it doesn't have to be 6gb/s, mine's a 3 gb/s one, but it just speeds it up hugely.
