£1 from 1000 people

Just a random thought, don't worry i'm not asking for money.

But I was thinking i'm having a bit of a problem with my student funding and it leaves me in a tight situation. But just imagine if I asked 2000 people for £1and 50% said yes I'd have nearly enough money to pay for my fees.

A weird thought indeed. Anyway not much of a question here so not much point to the thread, but what do you all think?

Yeah I know many people will not say yes. But if you made a proper effort i'm sure its possible. Especially over the course of a few months. And it'd be easy to ask 2000 people over a few months if not more.

I could make some random charity up, maybe save the Eskimos as they've ran out of food as they can't eat whales because of all the save the whales charities.

See its a thought. One that won't work but still a thought.

I know you're right. I'm not thinking 50% of people will give me a pound. But what if I asked for 20p. 10,000 at a 50% success rate will get me £1000.

Yeah i'm not saying I can't pay it. I work part time too and do full time hours over the holidays. It would just make things a lot easier and £1 from a lot of people isn't much.

Its just a thought in my head, not much of a practical one as it is bascially begging.

Just the money situation is tight especially when you don't really have any family to be backed up by.

Well what if I had some kinda "fundraiser" style thing. Or just sit on the high street with a sign explaining my thoughts and what its for with a bucket sitting there. Who knows. I could have a wealthy business man walk by and throw in a million pound cheque.

£1 from lots of people, therefore my fees are paid and i'm happy! Yay! (Also I do work{aimed at the people who said get a job})

Yeah I know what you mean. I suppose it can get closed anyway if needed. Just kinda annoying. As we could have been a few posts away from a million pound idea!
