lo,
I bought on Wednesday a 360 HD-DVD drive, plugged it into my PC, installed Power DVD Ultra 7.3 & "watched" Children of Men in HD glory. Unfortunately, my ageing skt 754 3400+ cried & caused extreme lag/loss of frame rate.
Hence my mini upgrade!!
Anyway, is 1 GB 800mhz DDR2 RAM good enough to run 1080i HD content smoothly without any jerkyness at all? (this will be operated on a e2160/e2180 cpu, possibly my old 7600GT or a 8500GT/2400pro)
Im considering getting a gig stick now, then at xmas santa can get me another gig of the same ram, provide im on the nice boy list
Im trying to acheive totally flawless HD-DVD 1080i playback for as cheaply as possible, without degredation.
Please advise me
