Hi all,

I have £150ish to spend updating my current radeon 3870.
Do you think it would be better to get 2 x 4850's like these...

or 1 x 4890 like this...?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-102-PC&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1403

My pc - Asus P5KPL/1600
- Intel Q9300 @ 3.0 GHZ
- 4gb xtreem dark 1066 Ram
- 650w PSU
- 1x 500gb SATA HD

Any suggestions much appreciated

Thanks

Dave

I would buy the 4890 and if i felt i needed more oomph, a few months down the line, i would add a second when the prices have dropped even more.

4890 ;) you will really see the benifit in games that dont support crossfire.

Also the 4850 you have chosen are only 512mb versions even with both cards 512mb would be your total vram. only 2 1024mb versions could compete with the 4890.

you should be able to pick up a card cheeper than that also. could save some money when the 5*** series hit if you can wait a few weeks ;)

hmmmm with a EZcool psu i would say don't get either till u upgrade your psu... that psu could blow and take things with it. also i'd be surprised if it as a 6 pin power connector

by the way your sig as to many lines, max is 4 lines. read the rules.
