10% pay cut?? any one else getting this?

A lot of companies are negotiating with agencies/contractors right now though as there is pressure to make cost savings (the place I work at is doing a similar thing). It's hardly unusual in this current economic climate.

Negotiated a big increase in my hourly rates since next year is going to be chaos with the amount of work I have to get through. If I was told my wages would drop by 10% I'd walk of site and go work directly for the competition. My boss (well, contact at the agency) keep teasing me as to how I'm buying him trips abroad etc with all the good work I'm doing. As long as he keeps them rates coming he can tease all he want :D

Only trouble with the military, they give you a pay rise, then charge you more for your food and your room, so you basically back at square one.

I had a someone on the phone with a contract offer if I was willing to travel 65 miles a day for a measly £475 A DAY !!! Only for 6 months, but it works out a nice tidy sum of cash. :D

Being ex forces, one company wanted to pay me £750 a day with bonuses to be added, but that was working in a 'conflict' zone abroad.

Measly my bum! I'm on £400 a day with this contract and it's the most I've ever earned. I'm definitely in the wrong game

I'm getting a £150 bonus every month plus a payrise in January (if I pass my exam) and another in February for the annual pay review.

But I'm probably going to leave if they don't give me enough, cause I'm underpaid for what I do now.
