£100 budget for a case and PSU

wrong again, made by either seasonic or delta

or by channel wells... what i was getting at.
anyway, chill out mate, we're trying to help this guy... not flame each other...
I get that you like antec, i'm not tryingto **** you off. I said earlier that all things considered the brands are pretty much as good as each other...

Regarding the Antec 650w. Funnily enough, i have an Antec NeoPower 650w in my current PC that cost like £90-100 around 2-3yrs back. I'd re-use it but my case (Tsunami Dream) was dropped around 3 months ago and the the front door of it is bust up. Even though there were no signs of any damage anywhere else, i worry that the PSU isn't in 100% working condition (even though it might be). A couple of weeks back i had a few random shutdowns and don't know if it'd be related in anyway.

Thing is, i know that when bought it was a VERY good PSU but i'm not sure if to reuse it, saving me a load of cash to then invest a little more heavily on a case for the reasons described above.

Thats certainly a risk if its dodgy and your trying to trust it to safely power your new £££ gear.

So the Coolermaster 430 and the Corsair CX 500w is what i should go for then? Or spend £4 more on getting the OCZ 600w one (even though it's doubtful i'll ever use that amount of wattage).

I still feel like i'm trying to budget too much with the Coolermaster 430 but who cares, everyone says it's brilliant for the price it's at and no one seems to be able to suggest a case that's better without it being much more expensive. So i think that's decided.

No complaints about those two, this must be doing your head in?

Haha. Well i'm not in the mix like you lot and basically don't want to waste money. Logically to me it seems the 600w is more value because it's typically more powerful for only a few quid more. At the same time if i'm not gonna use the full 600w is there any real point in me buying it? I feel like i'm asking the same questions but at the same time getting closer to deciding.

Definately will be ready to order tomorrow i think. One of those 2 PSUs and the Coolermaster 430 or the 690 II if i can stretch my budget (and if it's worth it), too simple enough decisions but i'm still not totally 100% sure.

You've been a great help so far though mate, i appreciate that.

If you dont mind going a bit over, then you could look at these, alternatively for staying in budget you wont better the above recomendation

+1 that's what i'd do

You guys are just making me decide between more options again! I'm aware the Antec True Power 650w Modular is wicked but £70 when my budget for a PSU and a case is only around £85-100, not to mention me never using 650w with my build...it's a bit extortionate, no?

Screw it. Is it worth stretching my budget to £130ish to get the Antec 650w and a £50-65 case instead of one of the OCZ PSUs and the Coolermaster 430?

If so, which case to go with it?

I decide on the CM690 II Lite and now it's out of stock. Don't think i like the look of the HAF 912 Plus and would only really buy it if it truly is value for money. Otherwise i'll be ordering elsewhere so i can get the CM 690 II Lite.
