Hi

For my birthday my girlfriend has offered to get me a set of gaming headphones, I have looked at

* Logitech G35 Gaming USB Headset PC 7.1Ch Surround

* Corsair Gaming Audio Series HS1 USB Gaming Headset

She has set a budget of upto £100. Just wondering which one is better overall or if anyone can recommend something else, I will also use them for audio and movies.

Thanks

Chris

I've got the Logitech G35 and find them excellent. Very comfortable, great quality and excellent sound too. Handy controls on them for muting or configurable to open programs etc.

Thats nice of her :) G35's are a great choice including dolby digital 7.1 surround sound. Comfortable and best price around too :)

You'll hear many people here say that best thing to go for is a Xonar soundcard and a set of £50-80 stereo headphones, as the simulated surround sound is extremely good.

Steer away from the Corsair HS1... they have a serious manufacturing or driver defect, just go on their forums and see. Best news is they don't have a bloody clue what it is.

If I was going for a gaming headset for £100 at this moment in time, i would probably go for this - http://uk.jbl.com/product-detail-2821/ghs-1.html.

I hope OCUK are thinking of stocking the above, they look fantastic.

Sony MDR-XB700?

I got them and really like it for games & movies..

I have these and sort of agree, the downside is the bands are very big and don't fit my trackIR clip, the bass response is second to none though.
