Hello.

Ive currently got a 2:1 speaker set up but one of the speakers has died. Any recommendations? I was looking at 5:1 set up next but ive noticed people recommending just a 2:0 speaker set up but the speakers are a lot larger? As you can guess im a noob when it comes to sound equipment.

HARMAN KARDON SoundSticks III. Heard some recently and was blown away with both the sound and design. Have also seen good reviews for the Antec Soundscience Rockus 2.1.

You are wise about going for a 2.0 system.
If you have the room, these are great value and under budget http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-002-ML&groupid=702&catid=22&subcat=719

Another highly rated option http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-004-ER&groupid=702&catid=22&subcat=719

Had a pair of the r1900tII's arrive last week and they sound fantastic. Not sure how they are in comparison to the solo6c's but they're miles ahead of the solo1c's i replaced.
