Looking for new TV's always gives me a headache - there are so many conflicting reviews out there it makes life very hard!

I am replacing a 5 year old 51" TV.

Thus far for around 800-900 I have been looking at the following (with the possibility of adding a soundbar)

SONY BRAVIA KD55X8509C
PANASONIC VIERA TX-50CX802B

Or for a more expensive TV and no soundbar..

SAMSUNG UE49KS7000

Would you go for the better picture quality on a smaller TV? Or a bigger TV and a soundbar?

I just bought the TX-50DX750B just because I read a 5 star review and wanted one and so far its excellent and has HDR. However I have seen quite a few comments suggesting to go for the CX802 which will have a better implementation of HDR with a firmware upgrade later this year.

I've tried Samsung TV's and I didnt like them I compared one to my previous TV a 47" Panasonic with the same picture source and you could see the Panasonic was miles better.

I'm actually looking at the Samsung UE55JS9000 right now... its ~£1399

My dad has the exact same TV and it is gorgeous, is there anything else you would consider for the same price point?

Edit - the other one I've been looking at is LG 55UH850V - but I can't find as much about that?

That has thrown a cat amongst the pigeons... it doesnt look to support HDCP 2.2 however which is required for BT's UHD service

Looks like an amazing TV however...
