As per the title I have a budget of around a grand but I am in a dilemma as to whether I should get a xeon or i7 processor as it will be primarily used for CAD CAM software in particular OneCNC and potentially photo editing (light room cc) as a secondary. But have read that xeon processors are ultra reliable and can do multiple threading which I hear is good again for CAD CAM software.

Can anyone suggest specific models that could meet this requirements as well as being future proof for updated CAD CAM Software in the future. Preferably with a SSD drive as well.

Another thing to note is that once bought I have no interest in modifying or upgrading it which I hear xeon processors are good for I. E ram etc.

I look to forward to your responses :)
