So, I have bought a 2nd ram kit 2x8GB Crucial DDR4

there where 2 options 1024meg x 64 and 512meg x 64, both 16GB total over 2 sticks.

the 1024MB version was half the price of the 512MB.. but every other spec is the same..

anyone know what the difference is? and if these are going to be fine running in the same system?

cheers!

1024meg x64

64 bit is the bus width
1024meg is 1024mb. So this will have 8 chips of 1gb making it a 8gb stick.
512meg is 512mb. This will have 8 chips of 512mb on each side of the ram stick. Same on other side making it a total of 8gb. I am not 100% certain but the single sided ram will usually be faster than the dual sided one.

As to whether it will both work together, not entirely sure but my guess is it should.
