106's are they damn speedy or is it just me?

As opposed to Rover's patented Dynamic Mass Re-alignment (DMR), whereby at high speeds bits of the interior fall off and end up in the back seats, thus increasing rear grip in high speed corners.

Carp....forgot about that...............and I paid extra for it! :D

106 1.1 = 0-60 13.6s 60bhp
Corsa 1.2 = 0-60 16s 73bhp

There is your answer.... the corsa is utter tosh.

Although he might eventully overtake you as the corsas top speed is 106mph and the Pug is 99mph.

The 0-60 time on the Corsa 1.2 16v is 12.0 dead for the Manual and 13.0 Dead for the easytronic.

(although there is one model that says 16.0 which is the 1.0 litres 0-60 time not the 1.2's).

TBH unless the driver of the corsa was asleep there is no chance that the op could have been that far ahead even on a 3 miles stretch. Especially not with 3 passengers.

EDIT: Unless of course its the old 1.2 8v with (according to parkers) 44 bhp. That takes 17.4s to get to 60

Your assumption is bassed on the fact thet these cars are unmodified and devoid of such enhancements like fury dice, max power stickers, ecoteck valves, big bore exhaust etc :D It is possible that the 106 had some LED washer jets which is easliy the equivalent of 100bhp shot of *** every time they are switched on.

Did you manage to reach the top speed of the car within the 3 miles? I reckon you should have done, 60 would have been reached in around 200-400m, leaving you with about 4000m to carry on accelerating.

LMAO

I had my first Rover 214 upto 125 on the clock... doesn't mean it was actually doing it :p Although I didn't tell my passenger how inaccurate it was ;)
