1080p at 27"

I'm on the market for a white/silver monitor to replace my wife's old Iiyama and while options are scarce below £200, I've found a little selection of HP monitors.

I'm wondering just how bad 1080p would be at 27"? I know 24" would be better, but is it *really* as awful as people say at 27? It won't be used by someone who is likely notice a slight blurriness, one of the main issues with the Iiyama is that the colours are horribly washed out.

The options I'm look at are the HP M24FW and HP M27FW. Both are on sale right now for a decent price and reviews seem to be positive but not sure if we should take the plunge at 27" or not...

I'd post links to the HP site but it's also a store so unsure if that'd break rules.

It'll mostly be used for casual gaming, yes. We're looking at getting the HP M24FWA but only seems to be available for collection in Brighton - don't fancy driving there right now...

We were considering the extra £50 for the M27FWA as it's available for delivery next day, which is the same but 27", still 1080p. Our office space is quite small so my wife's desk would be about 50cm deep, so the monitor will be quite close.

Upgrading from a 22" 1080p, she likes my 29" 2560x1080 screen - would the pixel density be close to that in the 27"?

Well it looks like the 24" HP we were going to get is now out of stock near us so will be waiting it out anyway... It seems 27 would definitely be too big for the desk too be worth buying

The problem is the office room itself is small - it's a "3rd bedroom that's barely big enough, but we'll call it a bedroom because we can" kind of room. It's only.just big enough for both desks against the wall with us both in chairs.

I considered a wall mount so it can be moved about if needed. I think we'll go with 24 though, I think 27 would just be too big, my 29" wide can be a little on the big side if we're both in there and I have to sit quite close. When I'm by myself I can sit out a bit.
