10850 for gaming - am I wasting money?

I've decided it's time to upgrade.

PC is used for nothing but Gaming and basic admin.

10850 was on my list, but i've seen a great deal on an 11600k (£150 less for the build overall)

Is this the better option given my usage?

Go 11600 if cheaper, but remember 8 cores may become the sweet spot next couple of years. Need some good cooling too.

Just to add, the 11400f could save you some more cash without much of a performance hit.

This is a good CPU for gaming. Specifically for a budget gaming
