I've got to hire a tux, no idea where to start looking, i'm sure it's not that hard but i'm just lazy!! :p

Anyway, after seeing the adverts where someone just calls up and says "I need 'X'" and they just find it for him i was wondering if they really do that?
Only time i use em i kno0w where i want to call, just don't have the number.

On a side note, anyone know if it's true that 'Burtons' Hire tux's??

Ta :)

Just use yell.com and search for suit/tux hire in your area?

Thanks for the thinly veiled racism, now, i'll wait for a relevant and useful answer

He calls a company which appears to be British but when you call you get through to somebody who only understands the Queens english... despite the fact your paying a premium for the call and as reported on here you get the wrong number anyway.

I dont think it was racism, more misguided criticism of the company he telephoned for not employing people with the capability of communicating with its main customer base.

I always call 118 118 and have never had a problem. The first time I called them I wanted to be connected to my local cinema. Instead the woman ran off a list of films that were showing at all of the cinemas in my local area, and asked if I wanted to bo connected to the ticket booking hotline. :)

I've never had anyone that I can't understand, either. So yeah, I recommend 118 118.

They're almost all rubbish...trust me I used to work for one of them. Quite why these people hire so many immigrants is beyond me. I'm in a call centre now and a lot of them really struggle with basic english. If you can't be understood, then they shouldn't be in the job.

Nothing racist about it. Phone them up for yourself, and report back how many times you ask them to repeat themself.

It's bad.. got some random woman calling about something (Couldn't understand what she was on about at all).. Just hung up after a minute of trying :P

It's not racist. They're outsourcing callcentres to places where people speak english badly with indian or other accents which makes it completely unintelligible.

I know someone who called up to try and get the number of his local police station, and he was told there were only 2 in the city and even giving them the name of the area and the street, they couldn't find the number.

Think before you write?? Seriously??

Not agreeing with my oppinion on the post is fine mate, we all have oppinions, but try not telling me how to post eh?
There's a good lad.

Probably not the best way to endeer yourself to a forum by jumping straight in and critisizing other members mate.
