I'm thinking of getting the crappest phone ever so I get a cheap contract and then buying a Nokia N93 sim free as the contract prices for it are crazy!

I've seen some offers online that are like 11 months free on a £30 12 month contract...so it sounds pretty good! But the offer is done via cashback...is this reliable?

Heard a few times that the phone companies don't always honour cashbacks and its a bit of a hassle to send a copy of your bill every few months. Any thoughts?

Are you saying that you can get an N93 SIM free for less than you can on a contract?
Contracts are how a telco can give you such a good price on the handsets - are you sure about this?

Ebay are selling N93s for around £430 I think and Expansys for £490. Current contracts total price are at least £500 since the cheap offer was removed from onestopphoneshop for some reason.

Anyone got any experience of these cashback deals?

what cashback deals have you been looking at?

Looked at a few on onestopphoneshop but I have been reading a lot of bad reviews saying their cashback isn't reliable at all :/ So not sure if it is worth the risk!

Had a look at the sim only deals on O2 but I would still have to pay line rental so it works out more expensive.

Oh man, can you @#%$£ believe it??

A week before i FINALLY get my PAC code, all good cashback deals nationwide disappear, just like that!

No one has the killer cashback deals anymore

i know it's a bit late, but i got the k800i at phones4u on 3G - 18 Month Contract

1200 Minutes (Anytime, Any Network)
800 Texts (Anytime, Any Network)

For 6 Months at £22.50
Allowing a change of contract after the 6 Months is up
Otherwise switches then to 600 Minutes, 400 Texts for the remaining contract period @ £45/month.

I'd recommend 3G for a Network because they also give you
  • £5 of free downloads each month
  • 50 Multimedia Messages
  • 50 Video Call Minutes

Which i think is a pretty good deal, however for sure i'll be switching contracts after the 6 Months, as there's no chance in hell i'll ever use 1200 Minutes a month! Also forgot to mention, I managed to get £100 Cashback out of them aswell..

Not sure if the offer is still on, but might be worth a look in...
