120/140mm Fans

I don't like the blue LEDs on the fans

Is Scythe Gentle Typhoon fans the best or is there others?

not the best if you want silence from my experience.

For airflow and silence then there is much better than GT's they have a sort of whirrr that you can't shake.

I'm used to my 1850's at max rpm now tbh. If i wanted more silence i should have bought a sturdier case than my lian li the price you pay for vanity xD

Would look at the noiseblocker range to be honest. very good fans Or the akasa apache blacks. very quite and pretty efficient.

Fans look great!

Like your fan controller too.

Aye. It'll look better when I replace that generic exhaust with an AF. It would have been done already but I had an unexpected incident which cost me dear.

I went for that controller because I'm halfway through a custom desk build and the controller screen is going to feature as part of the design of the monitor stand.

Look forward to seeing it.

I can safely say YES.

^ That's MY Matterhorn with SP120s :)

However to fit 2 fans to the Matterhorn you will need 2 sets of clips or 'bodge' it like I have with cable ties.
We have the same setup!

Which is the best fan controller that I can mount to a 5.25" Drive Bay?

From reading the specs they're pretty even as fan controllers go.

The Recon does however have the remote control option, allowing you to connect to the controller via web-browser inc mobile devices.

Tealc would be able to better tell you about this feature as he has the Recon.

I'm not sure if the NZXT Sentry 2 has had it's strange noise problem sorted so if you do fancy that I'd do some research on it. I'd guess it was low frequency PWM kick.

Is Scythe Gentle Typhoon fans the best at there or is there others?

I suggest the Noiseblocker 120/140mm fans because have just 7 blades, if you increase the number of blades from 7 to 9 or 11 blades, the noise frequency developed by the rotating blades increase also, therefore are better the fans with 7 or less blades
