120mm fan that's fairyl quiet, pushes a lot of air and looks good???

Depends on whether u want flashy LED ones, so id say Enermax Clusters or some of the Zigmatek Range, if LEDs not your thing then Noctua fans or even Sharkoon ones. The Akasa Apache is also supposed to be pretty good, but not to everyones style taste
 
The Akasa Apache fan is very good, I use two on a megahalems heatsink and they are still fairly quiet. Almost inaudible when the cpu is idle though of course they become louder when under full load but still, not obnoxious.

Unless you define the subjective term "looks good" we can't help with that aspect. Some people like the apache fans, others loathe them. I think LEDs look ridiculous, other people like their case to be full of lights. Not a chance of us guessing which group you fit into I'm afraid.

It would also be useful to know if you want to use it on a heat sink, radiator or as a case fan.
 
Noctuas are widely said to be quiet. Unless you actually put 12V through them.

Come to that, any 12V fan tends to be quiet if you put less than 12V through it. Funny that.


I'm using Enermax Magmas because I liked the look of them. When not running at 12V they are also quiet. Anything that DOES run at 12V and is quiet is not pushing a lot of air...

I have no windows on my case so the only thing you can see is the front of the fans so mine had to look decent (to me at any rate) :)
 
hey thanks all for the responses.

I don't mind led fans and am quite fond of the looks on some of them.

xigmatek black/orange takes my fancy as does the sharkoon SE golf balls (non led i believe).

I need 5 fans for my case (believe it or not it's the Antec P180 Mini).. will post up some pics when i'm done putting it all together.

To keep the aesthetics sort of 'nice'.. i'm thinking of getting all 5 fans to be the same make and model... good or bad idea? 2 will be in push/pull config on a Corsair H50 while the others will be used to cool my Gtx 260's in SLI.

Howwired, i think you have the sam case as me? Looks really good by the way!! :) What are those fans in the 2 5.25 inch bays there? Other than looking good, are they quiet? :)

So what do you all think? Xigmatek led black/orange all the way or not? :) By the way, i've sort of gone for a black and white look.. hence why i was considering the Sharkoons or even the Enermax Clusters... but the latter doesn't push enough air? anyway...
