Honestly mate you may be having a bad day but just admit this is wrong it doesnt only happen in middle eastern countries and this is why you seem rather ignorant.

It happens in our own WESTERN countries too maybe not in such extreme public view but it does.

This is the problem in Bangladesh. As a fellow British born Bangladeshi myself. I have visited Bangladesh 4 times there. And it is sicking to see what they get upto.

In simple words, Money = Power. More money you have, you have the Government, Local Authorities under your hand.

That's how life works there

It is boring though. I don't get the point of these news topic posts. It's just pages and pages of "this is awful", "what a horrible event" sensationalising. It does nothing for anybody. This topic will go on for another ten pages of people berating the country and each other. They're welcome to it.

I disagree.

An Islamic court allowed this. I find it really infuriating to see apologists wheeling out the "it's not an Islamic thing, it's a cultural thing" line.
 
Is there a world map that shows the percentage population by faith? Im curious to see which 'backwards countries' have as their predominate religion and if theres any correlation...

This. Depending on what villiage it is. And so on. Bangladesh are still livging in the old days like 50' and 60's.

I'm a bit confused here. Is the first paragraph directed to me?

Insinuating and accusation of trying to start a religious hate thread baffles me, given that I don't recall posting about such a thing in the past.

What my post was trying to say is that this is common practice in such countries, while is it sick and barbaric it is not suprising to read about.
