Currently I was looking at the Gigabyte M27Q and the Dell S2721DGF.

Both seem to have good colour reproduction and low smearing for their pricepoint. I'm pairing with a 3060gtx so I'll probably struggle to hit 165-170hz they are rated for with plenty of games, so I'm open to lower end suggestions if there are standouts.

While good for gaming/videos, M27Q has brain dead "panel upside down" BGR subpixel layout.
So in working/web surfing etc it can cause text clarity issues, because of possibly RGB subpixel layout expecting subpixel rendering not working.

Dell uses LG's Nano-IPS panel with normal RGB subpixel layout and hence gives best text clarity.
Unfortunately that particular 27" 2560x1440 Nano-IPS panel has contrast from 15 years ago.
So decent room illumination is needed to mask that really bad black.

AU Optronics panel in MSI G273QF would have very good contrast for IPS.
Its downside is again stand having only minimal adjustments.

3840x2160 pixels is awfully lots for getting good FPS.
Besides it being 60Hz monitor...

And 27GL850 is same very low contrast panel as in Dell.
My phone auto corrected the 4k one sorry.

I have the 32GN600-B and it's fantastic, the 27" is probably more so as it will have a better ppi

Yeh but gaming makes everything go so much faster. :p

Patience when trying to arrange a return :p

I’ve unboxed so many monitors, powered them up and gone WTF. How, just how. Who thought thought shipping this garbage was acceptable. What kind of firm puts their name to this…
