As above on a small budget of £540. He does work so want to be able to upgrade as he goes along. Mainly for gaming but loves video editing for games too. I told him to wait and save more so hoping you guys can come up with a rig or explain as why he should hold off. i can put it together for him but not been kept up with the latest tech as a little one arrive and lost a bit of touch.
Thanks in advance for your help lads

If you can get him to keep saving to £750 the Intel 8th gen i3 vr system with the 1060 6gb with the optional SSD seems fab. Got one for my son and have ordered 2 more (1 for me and 1 for the mrs).

I'd be going down the Ryzen route with a B350 motherboard and 2x8GB 3000mhz RAM. GTX 1050 in the system and it'd be decent enough for 1080p gaming.

Not fully sure about AMD but this would be a starting point.

Of course if you need windows or other parts it would go over budget. Could do with adding a case fan too.

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £524.59 (includes shipping: £11.70)
