Yeah, you'll want to wait for Doomedspeed to spec you a Z97 mobo and a Haswell refresh unlocked chip when the latter arrive. Just a couple of weeks, will be worth it by the sounds of it.

Just go for Doomedspeeds spec with the new i7 devils canyon 'k' chip and a Z97 board. There are rumours that they are delayed until September though.

Good plan. Ill look at getting you a spec done in a bit.

The new chips look nice.

The ES (engineering samples) had much lower temps than haswell, so potentially more OC headroom.

The 4.4 turbo clock looks tasty too. :).

Anyone fancy a Pentium k rig? :).

thank you all for all the builds :) .Amd look nice but just been biting a bit to much by them in the pass not saying they not change thought .

was thinking of holding of till September for dd4 but if I play that game I always be holding off for something new :p. So think I go with Doomedspeed build :). I read a lot that the case does not have good airflow but also once tinker with it is fine . Plus I also like the look of the case :)

If you want something with better Airflow then maybe go for a Corsair 540 in white instead ?

Yeah AMD are good value and do have A slightly improved reputation but you cannot alter or argue with first hand experiences.

Id go with the 780ti, especailly at that cheap price.

DDR4 is a different beast all together. Though in September it'll only be available on the X99 (2011 socket) platform. Which will be more expensive and not really worth your while. I doubt we'll see it on a consumer platform until skymount/skylake.

The H440 is designed with goof airflow features, it's the fans provided with it don't use it to its full potential.

That is why my spec had many AF fans. :).

I'm not doubting your spec :) I just think that the 540 would run a lot cooler with the same amount of fans. The H440 is a bit too restrictive on the air intake at the front. It is still a nice case though.

Thats fair.

To be honest the 540 is the best airflow case avalible, so for the H440 to be worse than it is no suprise or flaw of case itself.

The 540 achieves this by taking the PSU out of the airflow equation, which the H440 also does. But the 540 has a mesh(ier) front panel which initally allows more air in. The H440 doesn't have this due to its cleaner design, which I think perfect suits your build. :)
