I am currently in the process of building a home cinema, see build here:

https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18738137

With that in mind I am having a projector one end of the room and screen/AV receiver etc the other. I need to get the feed from the receiver to the projector which will run in the walls and this would mean I would require roughly a 15m long HDMI cable to allow for running up and down the walls.

I have heard a 1080p image will not transmit clearly over this distance on a HDMI cable so what are my options?

Thats great news if it will work especially at that price.

Also with speaker cable, I need to buy all new, is there a particular brand, type I need? I need about 50m to be safe.

Speaker cable is a can of worms. As long as it's 99.999% oxygen free cooper of reasonable thickness (2.5mm is recommended) then it doesn't really matter what you use brand wise.

I use Van Damme Blue 2.5mm. Can be had for 2 quid a meter. Others will think 2 quid/meter is outrageous (Sonny), and some will think that it's too cheap.

If you're purpose building, I would run cat6 anyway even if you don't terminate it and leave it behind blanking plates. That way you've got a fall back if you find your HDMI doesn't do the job.

This

Did this with a couple of projector installs and was really handy that I did. One of the projectors bit the dust and was replaced with a QHD NEC jobbie, running lovely over HDBaseT

Where have you seen it for £2 a metre? I can find 25m for £62.50 on ebay
