16:9 TV's With 16:10 Pixels - Are These Good

For the 16:9 aspect ratio is it better to get a LCD TV which has pixels that are actually in that ratio like 1366 768.

Also what happens if you get a 16:10 pixel ratio like 1280 768, would it still be any good, and also how would that display proper widescreen images.

1280x768 is 15:9...I've seen them with a slightly vertically stretched image, but the resolution isn't all that common and I haven't much experience of it.
