Hey Ppl,

I'm runnin Windows Vista Ultimate (RTM Version) and cant get it to display in 1680*1050 resolution, I think it could be my monitor drivers but im not sure, are there issues with this resolution and vista? if not can anyon suggest some drivers i could use? im currently messing about in powerstrip but with no effect. :(

NS

Edit - Ive just made a custom monitor driver and installed that using PowerStrip but it still wonlt let me choose 1680*1050!

1680x1050 just "works" - Has been a selectable option for me since I installed.
Not much use, just confirming it does work.

mine works fine too

does it recognise the monitor or just say plug and play one ?

think there was a driver disk to tell the pc what the supported resolutions are that came with my dell monitor

Why do I have to be special! :(

Currently have:

Galaxy 7600GT 256MB Graphics card (ForceWare 96.85)
ViewSonic VX2235wm monitor (drivers from ViewSonic website)

When i plugged the moitor in at first it detected it as a standard monitor (non-plug and play) however ive installed the drives from viewsonics ste but they havn't helped, could someone point me to where i can try the dell drivers just to see if i can get them to work? ive looked at all the other manufacturers but havnt found many drivers so far.
