Surely you knew it's going to be a big bill since you were the one using it.

Did your GF switched to another network without telling you or something ?

I just got a bill from one of my suppliers which I was not expecting, I knew I owed them some money from a few order over the last year but not that much.

That's not too bad, my mum has recently had to foot a bill for over 19K's worth of income tax for my late step-father, turns out they had "forgotten" to take it off his pay when he got promoted - back in 1983

In the grand scheme of things, no, I guess not. What makes it worse, we aren't together anymore.

If they have madea mistake you'll find it a lot harder to get the money back than it is for them to get it back from you.

I always get the bills sent to me before I pay. This way I don't get any surprises.

Bloody hell, that's just wrong in so many ways! Any way she can tell them to stick it where only the best proctologist can find it and the sun will never shine?

Vodafone have cocked up for me too,

im meant to get 500 txts, 200 mins every month, for £30.

my bill always ahs odds and sods added on, something i just expected, maybe premium numbers or summit. but this month the bill way way off. even though i know i havnt exceeded my limit

when i phoned them they explained that i was only allowed 100 mins and 100 txts! ha ha how wrong they are.

That's an awful deal. I get 750 mins, 250 sms, and 50 mms for £17.50. Reception on the Three network in my house is awful, but that's my fault for not doing research on network coverage. Point is, there are much better deals out there than the one you have...

yea, pretty crap that i get 100 mins and texts aint it ;) ha ha

yea know there are better deals. there are always better deals, its sods law. i did shop around at the time and this was th best i could get with a brand spanking new phone for free. its my first contract so i dont get any loyalty bonus' and... stop the clock is extremly useful for me :)

but aside from all of that i think vodafone are rubbish ! they should be nuked from orbit and all that

As Deadly Ferret says, they claim it from his estate, which means that my mum has to pay for it.

Fortunately I'm here to help her though.

I know for a fact that if they tried that on me I'd make them jump through every legal hoop possible! They made the mistake, not your Mother! Screw it, it wasn't even a mistake that involved her, it was something that occurred against your late step-Dad!

Surely there's some legal recourse she can take. 19K seems a bit rich considering the error wasn't even yours/hers!
