Hi All,

Is there a way to modify the keyboard layout so that I can restore ctrl-alt-4 to the Euro sign?

Stuck on an American keyboard layout at the moment and constantly having to hunt for Euro symbol in the character map is a pain.

Never knew CTRL + ALT did that, I always used ALTGr key

Alt Gr comes up with some office access system when in word, otherwise is does random things, pulls up the forums search when in the browser for example.

Also, ctrl+alt+e should be é though that brings up € when in Office.

No, it's set to US/Arabic layout which makes things worse.

Manged to use this to solve my issue:

It's the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator which allows one to create a custom layout. It's a little bit of a faff to use and it still doesn't seem to work in Word which does it own thing (grrr) but I can now type € and ° perfectly fine
