195/50/15 - What tyre?

So can anyone actually confirm that they no longer make the Eagle F1 GSD-3 In 195/50/15? :(

I have two sitting spare in the garage, and four on my car. Seems a great shame if they no longer do them.

I'm not sure now if they ever did them in 195/50/15? I seem to remember having to go down to 195/45/15 to get them... Which size are you running?

They definately did the GSD3 in 195/50/15 Kingy, I sourced two for the rear axle from my local tyre indy. I then found four for sale on the GTi-6 forum and snapped them up as it was a saving compared to anywhere else :p

Two I fitted to the front of my car, and the other two are waiting to be used.

I can't understand why they'd stop making them. The assemetrics are pap in comparison surely? (I await flaming for that!)

EDIT - They must have discontinued them. http://www.goodyear.eu/uk_en/tires/repository/EagleF1GSD3_2/index.jsp?page=sizes :(

If it were me I'd plump the extra for either the Contis or the Michelins, both good premium tyres that should last ages too.

Esp if it was for my dear other half rather than me, a woman needs all the help she can get :p

Ok it might cost a bit more, but would say the increase in life helps offset that, plus feel they are better all rounders than the cheaper more performance orientated ones.

Try www.mytyres.co.uk

Camskill are cheap, but not always the cheapest.

Dunlop tyres are wonderfully grippy, but because of that they last for around a trip to the supermarket. I'd say go for the best you can afford, T1-R's are defiantly good for the money.

I run Hankook RS2 in 205/50/15's on the Integra, they provide great dry grip, wet grip ok (no worse then the RE010's), however very good in cold conditions. Side walls pritty stiff but not quite as much as the Bridgestone RE010's.

The summer dry grip increase was such I felt flex in the Integra chassis, and fitted a H-brace and rear OEM brace to compensate. Ask yourself when was the last time you replaced tyres, and felt you needed to stiffen the chassis! I can't imagine anyone wanting more dry grip on a road car.

I've had F1 GSD2, F1 GSD3, Potenza S03, various high performance pirelli. Hankook RS2 really is best so far. Saying this 2 years ago I emailed TyreRack about wet tyres, and they said the F1 GSD3 was the best wet tyre they sell.

A few years ago I use to worry about wet performance, but since I've got the Integra I've learnt wet performance is more about driving smooth. I've never felt the RS2's aquaplaned so that's the main thing.

Never driven on T1R's but Car and Driver had this to say.

n fact, the Proxes never placed higher than eighth in any test, and in two dry tests, the autocross and the skidpad, the Toyo finished last, trailing the top finishers by significant margins. In some tests it felt better than it actually was performing, but overall, Geswein noted it was "soft and imprecise" and didn't "feel like a sport tire."

been fancying a set of Hankooks for a while. will try them one day

Don't get the Evo 12's, a friend runs these on his Integra and reports there soft.

As said I'm most impressed about the cold ability of my RS2's. The first winter I used the Integra I was expecting to slide everwhere (cold ice roads not referring to snow), but was really surprised by the grip. Of course in these conditions I'm not talking about fast driving, but safe steady driving.

This rally car is running RS2's in snow / ice. When you put into context the RS2 is a summer performance / track day tyre it's impressive.
