1998 ish Toyota Starlet

my missus is looking for an uber cheap replacement car. she does a couple thousand miles a year and basically wants something that is zero maintenance and that will go for ever.

cheap hassle free motoring.

IMO, german and jap cars are the best for this sorta thing, hence ive spotted a starlet.

other than being a touch boring (to her, its just a car), are there any gremlins these things have that i may not know about.

Yup, some of them came without turbos, make sure to avoid them

Seriously though, pretty much bullet proof, same engine as in the Corollas of the time.

yeah, she doesnt want anything quick or fun, but as a car, toyotas are near enough bullet proof.

im sure that if its well looked after it'll last forever.

for cheaper car bits i go to eurocarparts or german Swedish and french... where do you get cheap japanese consumables from?
