£1k budget laptop

hi guys,

I am looking for a companion to my home rig that I can take away with me when I go abroad to work etc

Max budget is 1k and want the best bang for buck, laptops is not an area I am at all familiar so just looking for suggestions please.

Primary use will be playing games.

I got the 504gm in September and love it. Has played everything on high so far and it's so fast.

I have just received this laptop for my son for his Christmas box. I'm wondering if Asus has software like what MSI have in the dragon centre. I find it a great piece of software able to change settings and increase and decrease CPU speed and such.

not sure if all stuff supports it though?

there are third party programs to control clock/fan speed etc also.
