I went along to the WTCC at Brandshatch a couple of weekends back and had a great time snapping away all day. I didn't bother much with panning and I'm not a fan of tight crops so I was going more for the compositions but I'd love to hear your comments and critique

whats going on some look the same

Also a tad out of focus I believe, the first one I think the car behind is in focus

I'm no expert though so ignore if you wish

was going to comment in my 1st post but i thought that you was just reserving the 1st two posts for your pictures and though you was gonna sort links afterwards anyway :)

Yep some were a little off focus - thats just my poor skills :)

The first pic jumped out at me from about 100 other similar ones because of the focus being on the car behind... maybe I just got bored looking at all the others and liked this because it was different!

Some comments from me
The first few are out of focus and angle of the last image doesn’t work. The focus point on number 6 is also off; on the front wheel rather than the driver and engineer.

Number 7 is superb and I think 8 would have been better had it been tighter on the car as the background is too distracting.

Thanks for the comments

The saftey car was hooning a along almost sideways around druids

Focus was difficult as I was behind a fence most of the time and at full 300mm zoom but I definitly agree some are not quite right.

I've been reluctant to shoot motorsports in the past because Im not a huge fan of close cropped panning shots with distracting backgrounds so the angles thing was an attempt at something different. More practice needed :)

I think I agree with you on 8 having had a play at cropping it
