2.0 Speakers to plug into my monitor

I am going to purchase this monitor soon and want a pair of speakers that will plug into it.

If the speakers only plug into the pc I can't use them when I hook the xbox 360 up to monitor? Since the onboard sound on these monitors is normally pretty lame from what I hear.

So, a pair of speakers no sub woofer, I just want decent sound nothing special. Thanks guys.

why not get speakers that you can plug the pc into and the xbox into..

The monitor will only have a line in anyway so it's impossible to plug speakers into a monitor and get any sound from it.

You'll want speakers with multiple inputs, as you only want 2.0 the best solution would be an amp and Hi-Fi speakers however something like the Creative T20s on here would do the job.

Thanks dude. If I have speakers that go into the base unit can I just hook the xbox 360 up to the monitor with my hdmi cable and get it running with sound so long as the pc itself is on?
